How is economic growth entwined with the social, environmental and financial turmoil of the past few decades? How can we have a stable and prosperous economy that does not grow—let alone one that shrinks to a sustainable level relative to existing planetary boundaries? These questions, and many more, will be discussed next semester as part of the Degrowth course at the University of Amsterdam.

Depending on enrolments, the course is potentially accessible to other parties besides UvA students, such as contract students, UvA staff or students from other institutions. If you are interested, you can find out more information and register here.
